At a young age, I turned to photography as a means of self-expression.  I wanted to capture the true essence of  what I see in the outer world.

My paintings are an expression of my heart and soul.  I paint my tears, my joy, my anger and the love I feel, all the emotions I experience.  I give my feelings expression, a voice and a face.  In so doing, I transform them before my very eyes through an alchemical-like process.

In my paintings I am documenting energy.  I am documenting the energy of what I feel and sense, making visible the energy of a situation, a relationship, an experience.

My paintings are my teachers and my mentors and they become my sonnets, my poetry, and my short stories.  They are my opera, my blues and my Jazz."
